Streamlining Retailer-to-Manufacturer Returns through Digitization

Overview

The ideal B2B supply chain operates as a masterpiece of efficiency, ensuring seamless flow of goods from manufacturer to retailer. However, in reality, this flow is often disrupted by the frustrating hurdle of returns. In my case study, I aim to transform the overall B2B Sales Return Ecosystem of our interconnected products, creating a domino effect of efficiency where each design change triggers the next action, ultimately leading to a streamlined process.

Research

Based on the user personas created by the Research team and my understanding of the current pain points gathered from their user research data, it is evident that the sales return process is slow and disorganized due to its management through phone calls and chats. Therefore, our objective is to digitize the entire return process.

User Flow

I reviewed all our products involved in the movement of goods within the supply chain and assessed the current manual return process. Next, I created a high-level user flow with minimal design changes to efficiently incorporate the return process. This user flow will provide me a comprehensive understanding of the necessary design changes required across all products.

Visual Designs

As it involves design changes across different interconnected products within the supply chain, each product's persona will be unique, resulting in different user goals.
